Lasta Transport Company

The American company BANDAG, which is the world leader in the field of cold-protecting tires ( oblasti hladnog protektiranja guma), since 1958 until today has formed a web of over a thousand local partners – the representative of BANDAG in over one hundred countries. “LASTA” was admitted into this system in 1983.

The main element of the quality of tires protected in “Lasta Protekt“ are gazeća površina (profil) which “Lasta Protekt“ manufactures in 250 variations and which it distributes only to its official representatives. The process of protection by using BANDAG technology provides excellent performance by repaired tires.

Besides supplying all of “Lasta’s” profit organisations (200 partners throughout Serbia and Montenegro), “Lasta Protekt” also has the capability of repairing 20,000 tires annually.

Bus repair

At the “Lasta Bus” factory in Valjevo we offer the general repair of buses as well as the repairing of seats and other services for “Lasta“ and third parties.

Servicing of vehicles

The servicing is provided for all types of vehicles in most of the “Lasta” auto-centres in Belgrade, Obrenovac, Mladenovac, Smederevo and Stara Pazova.

Servicing

Maintaining and servicing of “Lasta” vehicles is carried out in its auto-centres and autobuses spread out everywhere where “Lasta” has its profit organisations and work units. Within the current capacities, “Lasta” has expanded its activities:

• 2002 – licensed servicer of SOR buses,
• 2003 – internal servicer of IKARBUS vehicles,
• 2004 – licensed servicer of VDL buses (Berkhof, Bova),
• 2004 – licensed servicer of Wabco devices,
• 2004 – licensed servicer of vehicles produced in SANOS
• 2004 – received accreditation for a meteorological lab.
• 2005 – licensed servicer of AYATS buses
• 2006 – licensed servicer of MERCEDES buses
• 2007 – licensed servicer of BOGDAN buses

Cooperation and partnership between “Lasta” and the VDL Group (one of the largest European companies that produce buses) resulted in the import of a large number of the best tourist buses from Berkhof and Bova which represent a modern combination of comfort, safety, and reliability. One of the phases in the development of “Lasta” is the opening of the VDL Bus Service, one of a kind in Serbia and Montenegro, located in Niški put no. 4, covering 2000 meters squared. Modernly equipped service centre with the most up-to-date electronic devices for diagnostics and the removal of defects, not only on buses but also DAF trucks. This utility can serve 12 vehicles instantaneously. Spare parts are kept in warehouses. The entire staff has completed a specialist course at the VDL Groups factory in Holland.
